Holiday gift ideas for Introverts
I’ll be depending on the expertise of others when it comes to shopping for those loved ones, but if you have introverts in your life, I can help! In this post, you’ll find a round-up of twelve introvert-friendly gift ideas. Best of all, these are all under $100 USD, so you can grab an extra one for yourself if you see something you love.
Introverts appreciate meaningful gifts
You’ll find a couple of Amazon picks in this roundup, but most come from small businesses. It takes some extra time and planning, but please considering supporting the little guys and gals, especially Black and minority-owned businesses, this holiday season. One thing I know about introverts is that we are a compassionate bunch. We’d almost always rather receive a meaningful gift— even if it means getting it late.
Understanding introverts as you shop
Being a stellar gift-giver hinges on your ability to understand the person for whom you’re shopping. If you don’t find something that you like from this roundup, here are some thoughts to keep in mind as you’re shopping for that special introvert in your life.
We value alone time
Most introverts, including me, love people, but we need breaks in between to recharge. For some, this involves serious resting, so gifts like cozy pillows and blankets are always welcome.
We like to use our brains
I’m one of the rare bird introverts who doesn’t nap, so I like to spend my recharge time reading, doing puzzles, or doing non-intensive creative projects like coloring, jewelry making, or knitting.
We feel refreshed after pampering
My family mercilessly makes fun of the fact that I’m basically non-functioning until I’ve showered each morning. But beyond the daily routines, most introverts come alive after they’ve been given the time and space to go the extra mile with a nice bath, a good body scrub, a face mask, a manicure and/or pedicure, and makeup.
