A look at getting started in graphic design, blogging and building a small business. Michelle from Elegance & Enchantment shares her struggles and success in her first Periscope Broadcast.

In case you missed it, last week I took the leap into recording my first video. Not just any video. A live recording, where people had the ability to comment, chat and potentially call me out on my obvious stage fright. Nothing like jumping in head first, right?

I’ve joined the ranks of many bloggers and various internet personalities in this new craze known as Periscope, a mobile app that allows anyone to broadcast a live session from anywhere in the world. It’s best feature is it’s interactive environment where “watchers” can take part in the conversation, give you love and provide you with helpful feedback. I’m kind of addicted. If you’d like to join in on the Periscope fun, hop on this mailing list, and I’ll be sure to alert you next time one of my broadcasts are going live.

In my first “scope” I shared my story— how I got started in graphic design, blogging and building my business. I am always inspired by hearing how other bloggers and entrepreneurs began on their journey, so hopefully you will find some encouragement in mine.

Before you jump into the video below, please excuse my excessive use of the words “um” and “so…”. I will work on getting more comfortable in front of the camera! The video is pretty long, so if you are only interested in hearing about certain topics here is the breakdown:
